BP Diary is a manual blood pressure logging app for iOS. You type in your readings, keep track of your medications, and can export a report to bring to your doctor. It runs entirely on your iPhone.
We are a small indie studio and the App is updated often. Some features may not always work exactly as planned. Please be patient with us, and we will always do our best to support you.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the BP Diary mobile application (the "App" or the "Service"), operated by Mango Lab ("us", "we", or "our").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to everyone who accesses or uses the Service.
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, you may not use the Service.
2. Medical Disclaimer
BP Diary is not a medical device. It is not a diagnostic tool, not a treatment tool, and it does not provide medical advice. It is a notebook for numbers you already have.
a) The App does not measure your blood pressure. Every value in the App is entered manually by you, from a separate blood pressure monitor. The App has no way to verify that a value is correct, and it will faithfully record whatever you type.
b) Blood pressure categories are informational only. Where the App labels a reading, that label is based on the 2017 ACC/AHA guideline and is provided for general reference. It is not a diagnosis, and it does not take your medical history, medications, or circumstances into account.
c) Always consult a physician. Never start, stop, or change a medication, a dose, or any other aspect of your care based on what the App shows. Health decisions belong with a qualified healthcare professional who knows your situation.
d) In an emergency, do not rely on the App. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. The App does not monitor you, does not detect emergencies, and cannot alert anyone on your behalf.
e) No doctor-patient relationship. Using the App does not create a doctor-patient relationship, or any other professional or care relationship, between you and Mango Lab.
f) Medication reminders are convenience features only. They are local notifications scheduled on your device, and they can be delayed, silenced, or missed for reasons outside our control, such as device settings, low power mode, or a device that is off. Do not rely on them as your only means of remembering a dose.
g) Reports are a record, not an assessment. A PDF report is simply a formatted list of the values you entered. It is for you to discuss with your doctor, and it is not a clinical document or an interpretation of your health.
3. License
Mango Lab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
The App is licensed, not sold, to you. Except where these Terms say otherwise, your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where the standard EULA and these Terms conflict, the term more protective of your rights as a consumer applies.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality remain the exclusive property of Mango Lab and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Mango Lab reserves all rights not expressly granted to you.
The content you create in the App, meaning your readings and medication records, remains entirely yours. We claim no rights over it, and we never receive it.
4. Purchases and Refunds
The Service is free to use for up to 10 blood pressure readings, along with the core features of the App. Unlimited readings and doctor-ready PDF report export require BP Diary Pro. By purchasing, you agree to the following:
a) BP Diary Pro is a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase. It is not a subscription. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel, and you will not be charged again for it.
b) The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store, not by Mango Lab. We never receive or store your payment details.
c) Purchases are validated through RevenueCat, a third-party service acting on our behalf. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what it receives.
d) Refunds are handled solely by Apple, in accordance with App Store policy. We cannot issue, approve, or deny a refund. Refund requests are made through Apple.
e) You may restore your purchase on your devices using the restore purchases option in the App, provided you use the same Apple Account.
f) The price of BP Diary Pro may change for future purchasers. This does not affect a purchase you have already made.
g) Mango Lab reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Where a change would materially remove a paid feature, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice.
5. iCloud Sync, Backups, and Data Loss
You are solely responsible for your data. We cannot recover it, and we cannot restore it for you. This is a direct consequence of how the App is built, and we would rather state it plainly than let you discover it at the worst possible moment.
a) The App syncs your data into your own private iCloud database through Apple CloudKit. That data belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it and no ability to read, restore, or recover it on your behalf.
b) Sync depends on Apple's service and on your Apple Account being signed in and available. Mango Lab is not responsible for Apple service outages, delays, sync conflicts, storage limits, or any interruption or failure caused by Apple.
c) If you turn iCloud off, sign out, or are not signed in, your data exists only on your device. If that device is lost, damaged, reset, or the App is deleted, the data is gone permanently.
d) Our support cannot retrieve deleted, corrupted, or lost data under any circumstances. If your records matter to you, export a PDF report periodically and keep your own copy.
6. Acceptable Use
By using the Service, you agree to:
a) Use the Service only for its intended purpose, as a personal health log
b) Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
c) Not use the App to diagnose, treat, or make clinical decisions for yourself or for anyone else
d) Not present output from the App as a clinical assessment, or use it in place of professional medical care
e) Not attempt to circumvent the limits of the free tier or the licensing of paid features
f) Not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
g) Not engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy, completeness, or clinical usefulness of any information the App displays.
We do not warrant that the App is suitable for any medical purpose, or that any category, chart, average, or report it produces is accurate or appropriate for your situation.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mango Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes loss of readings stored on your device or in your iCloud account, a missed or delayed reminder, and any decision made in reliance on information shown in the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion, and the revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any change.
By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, please stop using the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
